About the museum

Founded in 1902, the Archaeological Museum of Istria is one of Croatia's largest museums. Its core mission is to investigate, protect, preserve, present, and valorise the archaeological, monumental, and cultural heritage of the Istrian peninsula. The AMI collection now comprises over 125,000 objects.
