Unified approach implementation means that core activities include specialist oversight of the work of museums (acquisition and processing of museum material, storage, protection, display, record keeping), the enhancement and coordination of specialist work and museum development, and the provision of expert advisory support.
In the frame of Croatia's Museum System these core activities are performed as specialised work and cover museums founded by the Republic of Croatia and by units of local and regional self-government.
AMI is a level 2 core museum for archaeological collections and holdings in Istra County and Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
