Exhibition spaces
Gallery C8 is one of the exhibition spaces of the Archaeological Museum of Istria intended for smaller-scale exhibitions. The gallery's program includes original and guest exhibitions, thematic projects, presentations of archaeological research results, as well as collaborations with other museums, associations, and educational institutions.
The gallery's name originated from the repeated use of the abbreviation of the address Carrarina 8 in the form of C8, and the logo is a play on the name and the shape of the octagonal mausoleum, which is located right next to the gallery and can be seen through its large glass wall.
The gallery is adapted for people with mobility difficulties - a platform has been installed that allows access to the space, which is otherwise located on the high ground floor and is accessed by stairs.
