Representative of the Archaeological Museum of Istria, Dr. Ida Koncani Uhač, museum advisor, participated last week in the work of the international research team at ARC-Nucléart, one of Europe's leading centers for wood conservation. There, advanced wood analysis is being conducted, after which the immersion of elements from the Zambratija shipwreck into a PEG bath begins.
During the working visit, together with archaeologist Marko Uhač from the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia Ministry of Culture and Media RH, Regional Conservation Service Pula, she joined experts led by Dr. Giulio Boetto (CNRS, IPSO FACTO) in documenting and studying this exceptional ship construction as well as plans for future restorations and exhibitions in the newly planned museum.
It was a special honor to have Indira Dužević Radić from the Croatian Embassy in France, who expressed support for the project and its importance for Croatian heritage.
We proudly continue to contribute to the study and valorization of one of Croatia's most valuable underwater archaeological discoveries. ![]()
