Exhibition „From Waste to Print“ opened on January 22 in Gallery C4 and shows how discarded materials can gain a new, artistic life.
The works were created last year at a workshop for Earth Day organized by Ana Kvaranta and the Archaeological Museum of Istria. The workshop involved ten students from higher grades of OS Kaštanjer accompanied by art teacher Nevana Starčević, who through collography technique and motifs of ancient amphorae connected creativity, ecological awareness, and cultural heritage. They used items that had previously been used up and intended for waste — boxes, cardboard, aluminum foil, plastic bags, nets, and similar materials.
The exhibition is open until February 15 and invites visitors to discover how waste textures, with a contemporary approach to recycling, become unique works.
